0800 Series Bond Seal
800 Bond Seal
800 is the slowest version of the 800/830 series and has the same physical properties found in all of this series. The 800 is semi self-leveling and allows greater standing time and much more "spread time" than the 830. This heavy polymer compound is used as an adhesive for bonding various materials together and is highly resistant to fuels and other caustic compounds. The product can be sanded and painted and is also used as a filler for surface imperfections in various plastics and other substrates. The product retains its flex even in thick applications, is not brittle, and has good sand-ability in a short time. The product is black, translucent gray or non-pigmented having an off-white tint when mixed properly and after it has set. 800 & 830 have no odor and are 100% solids.
Application: 800 may be used directly from the dual cartridge unit or plural component pump. Mixing of the product is through a static mixer.

Surface Preparation, Fiberglass: Surface is to be free of all contaminants that would act as a bond breaker. The area to be sealed should be sanded to the degree that good bonding of the product will result when properly applied. The area should be dry.
Curing Time: Back in service time – traffic- 1 to 1.5 hours approximately. Re-coat 30 minutes to 45 minutes @ 70°F. Full cure in 6 to 8 hours @ 70°F.
Concrete: Must be cured at least 28 days. All surfaces must be dry and dust free. Prepare concrete as it would be prepared for coating with a clean and rough profile.
Shelf Life: Six Months; store between 70°F and 90°F.
Packaging: 21 and 54 ounce duplex cartridge kits, 10 gallon kits (5 gallon pails) and 110 gallon kits (55 gallons per drum).
VOC Content: 0gms/1 or 0.0 lbs/gal
Limitations: Do not use on wet surfaces or expose part A to moisture. Keep out of direct sunlight, store at room temperature. Do not allow the product to stand in the static mixer. Use at 5 degrees F above dew point. Keep cartridges warm when using product in cool conditions.
*Do not expose boxes of cartridges to sunlight or store in hot areas as this will accelerate gel time. Important: Hot conditions will speed the set time of the product, while cool conditions will slow the set time.
Bond Seal 830 is a thixotropic, fuel resistant, quick set reactive gel polymer compound used as an adhesive material for various substrates, plastics and concrete. 830 holds a vertical bead when applied from a duplex cartridge. The product bonds to concrete, wood and fiberglass and may be used for sealing fittings on fuel sumps, repair of fiberglass tanks and to quickly fill cracks in concrete containment tanks that will be surface coated. 830 may be used to fill tooled joints in concrete floors to produce a seamless appearance for decorative floors. The 830 is easily installed from a duplex cartridge, smoothed in place and can be surface ground to produce a flush finish prior to application of a decorative floor finish. It also is used as a filler for surface imperfections in concrete and other materials. With quick set-up time, 830 provides for rapid applications wherehorizontal or vertical bonding is required. The product is also excellent for the sealing of cracks in concrete as a "Cap" seal before structural injection. The product is used around injection ports to seal and contain the injection resins. 830 can be dispensed via plural component pump machines, troweled and moved as needed for bonding and filling of various substrates.
Various Set Times: 830 is designed to set with several gel/set time speeds, depending on individual customer specifications. The set time is denoted after the product name. For example 830-45/60 is 45 to 60 seconds gel time, 830-60/120 sets in 1 to 2 minutes, 830-240/360 sets in 4 to 6 minutes, etc. The product set time is temperature dependent, i.e., warm or hot conditions will speed the set time and cool conditions will slow the set time.
Color: The product is black, translucent gray or non-pigmented having a whitish color when mixed properly and after it has set. Bond Seal 830 has no odor and is 100% solids.

**Speed is temperature dependent. Hot conditions speed the set time, cool conditions slow the set time. Sanding Time depends on set time of product; faster set provides faster sand time.
Application: The product is mixed and applied via a 1:1 duplex cartridge or a plural component 1:1 ratio pump fitted with the proper static mixer.
Surface Preparation: Surface is to be free of all contaminants that would act as a bond breaker. The area to be sealed should be sound to the degree that good bonding of the sealer will result when properly applied. The area should be dry.
Plastics: Abrade as needed, wipe with solvent and prime. Consult ASTC for various substrate primers.
Concrete: Must be cured at least 28 days. All surfaces must be dry and dust free.
