Polyurea Technology Penatron Polyurea is a versatile material that can be hand-mixed, machine-applied, sets up in minutes, even in sub-zero conditions, and is still flexible when frozen. It is an ideal solution for a variety of uses such as concrete repair and control joints, and stands above similar polyurethane and epoxy products. Traditional polyurethanes are formed by the reaction of an isocyanate (NCO molecules) with a hydroxol group (OH). This reaction often creates the problems associates with polyurethanes such as moisture sensitivity, bubbling, brittleness, and the inability to cure in cold temperatures. |

Polyureas use the polyurethane isocyanate, but then react this with an epoxy hardener. This creates very long, complex, and unique molecules. It's these molecules that make Penatron different and very special. The best polyurea products are made with pure polyurea components and no urethane blends. ASTC Polymers are Polyurea Systems made with the highest available pure polyurea components that are very specific to the Polyurea technology.
